Intended Audience: managers, board members, operators and office personnel of water and wastewater utilities

This 2-hour webinar covers topics essential for operators and managers of water and wastewater systems to implement effective financial management practices to improve capacity and ensure sustainability. Attendees will achieve the following learning objectives:

• Understand the importance of financial statements in the operation of the utility.
• Integrate capital improvement planning with asset management and the utility budget.
• Create the utility budget for expenses and balance it with necessary revenues.
• Determine the appropriate rate structure to support the budget.
• Identify funding sources for infrastructure improvements.
• Review the steps in the funding process.
